6 weeks in South East Asia

Hey guys,

So I’m currently sitting in Abu Dhabi International Airport waiting for my connecting flight to Bangkok to kick off my backpacking adventure.

Over the next 6 weeks I’ll be visiting Bangkok and Phuket (Thailand), Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), Kota Kinabalu (Borneo, Malaysia), Bali (Indonesia) and Manila in the Philippines. I’ll be posting throughout my travels with the greatest things to do in SouthEast Asia, daily updates about my travels, and reviews of the Hostels that I stay in along the way. So keep an eye on this space to see what I’ve been up to, and get inspired to travel yourself.

Side note: So I flew with Etihad here, and my connecting flight is also with them. I’ve flown with loads of airlines both budget and big brand, from Easy Jet and Ryanair, to Air Jamaica, British Airways and Virgin Atlantic and many more. But after my first leg of this trip, I have to say that Etihad has become my favourite airline by far! Their seats have plenty of leg room, the food actually has FLAVOUR, staff are lovely, and their entertainment selection is vast and up to date, with the latest movies and music out throughout the flight. I have to say I’m very impressed with them so far.

P.s. when flying through Abu Dhabi airport maybe don’t wear ripped jeans and a tank top. The only person in the whole airport with shoulders showing. No one blatantly says anything, but you can tell it’s a nono. Note for the future.

Another couple hours and I’ll be in Bangkok! Speak to you all soon. Signing off for now, CHB xx
